Dental fitness

It is a condition of acceptance that you are considered dentally fit i.e. have visited a dentist within the last 12 months and have no major problems or pre-existing conditions. 

We will ask you in your application to certify that you have visited your dentist within the previous 12 months and that no treatment is currently required.

If you are in any doubt about your eligibility, talk to one of our sales advisors.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

  • Treatment needs that you were aware of before you applied for this cover
  • Treatment in the first 3 months of cover (except emergency or accidental dental injury treatment).
  • Cosmetic treatment
  • Any injuries sustained while playing sports without wearing a mouth guard
  • Prescription charges and damage to dentures
  • Self-inflicted injuries
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses or telephone calls
  • Oral cancer which you had when applying for cover or had sought treatment for in the 12 months before taking cover. Even if not diagnosed.
